In 1880 the great grandfather of current General Manager Eng. Herbert Bremstaller founded the Bremstaller Smithing business, providing horseshoes, horse accessories and wagon parts until after the second world war 2.

A second workplace was purchased on Karlinger Street, a town street in Hartkirchen,
and a factory facility larger than 800 m² was erected. This further expanded production capacity to meet demand for high-quality products.

The business began to specialise in working with stainless steel with the development of characteristic hot water and heat transfer technology.

In 1986, the firm developed its ground-breaking heat exchanger technology which it manufactured and offered to the market with resounding success. This event was another hallmark of the firm’s innovation.

This year would see the building of a modern 12-edged office building in Karlinger street. Further, the firm invested in a pickling facility to ensure the highest standards of stainless steel products, clean and free from corrosion.

The computer-controlled testing facility in Haizinger Street is built. With this new facility, new heat exchanger variants are developed, as well as customer-specific solutions that can be thoroughly tested before going to market. At the same time the facility enabled fully automated pressure and temperature measuring to be carried out. Special software was also developed to calculate and dimension and the best possible hot water solution for specific customer needs within minutes.

ECOTHERM Mexico office began marketing ECOTHERM in the Americas. Products on offer include the economiser products for Hotels and hospitals and heat exchangers for pool heat exchange.

| The business ECOTHERM Austria gmbh is established. The leading technology products are now marketed in numerous countries around the world. Notable hotel groups entrust their hot water operations to ECOTHERM and its „Ecotherm Economizer“. Product. This product enables savings of 30% energy, 90% installation costs as well as room savings of over 100m² against old units. |

In 1996, the firm purchased a metalworks in Hungary and founded ECOTHERM
Hungary. This was predominantly a cost-cutting measure in the production of oil separators and industrial components. The size of the ECOTHERM Hungary facilities offers much available production room and the know-how of ECOTHERM’s Hungarian personnel serves as a capacity in reserve for future expansions.
